Finding an anti aging that works
If you’re looking for an anti aging that works, you should consider an array of methods instead of looking for one single solution. In fact, studies have shown that there are no antiaging supplement – be it a natural or an artificial one – that can effectively slow down the aging clock on its own. You must combine many nutrients, and that is just one part of the equation. Apart from nutrition, sleep and exercise must be looked at. Do you get enough sleep? Is it possible for you to sleep when you're sleepy, or must you wait till it's "the right time"? If so, you're not listening to your body. When there's no predator threatening them - or when they are the predators (think "lions"), animals spend long periods of time just resting, and I’ve never heard of a lion seeking an anti aging that works... Ideally, we human beings should do just like them, and rest when our body asks for it. As for me, I've started to have a real sleep "session" (one cycle, i.e. about an hour and a half) right after my third meal of the day at the start of the evening. Then, when I wake up around 19:30 or 20:00, I'm feeling full of energy, and I can be active till midnight without feeling the need to go to sleep. Breaking my sleep like that has allowed me to make sure I don't reach the point where I drag a sleep deficit that can compromise my ability to work or play. On the other hand, exercise may be one the most overlooked anti aging therapy. When we do some sort of physical activities, our body naturally produces hormones that help to slow the aging process and accelerate the rebuilding of organic tissues such as bones and muscles. That’s why women diagnosed with menopause are encouraged to do more exercise. Besides, physical exercise promotes good sleep, and we've just seen that it's an important longevity factor. As for supplements, they can be included in anti aging that works only if you're unable to get all the nutrients you need through your daily meals. We all know that getting all the vitamins and minerals we need is not always an easy task – who really is able to eat between 5 and 10 different types of vegetables each day, and to eat half of them raw? Well, some of us can, but for the vast majority, it’s a slow process because we must learn to include those in nutrition patterns that we’ve been following for years and years, and even decades for some of us. But that may be the price to pay to get anti aging that works, instead of just popping pills that we’re lead to believe will save us from aging.
